New project: Rauma railway for TS2017

This has been on my mind for a long time now and I have decided to start; I’m going to make the Rauma railway for DTG Train Simulator 2017, despite the new product Train Sim World. The Rauma railway is about 115 km long non-electric route from Dombås to Åndalsnes, starting at 659 meters above sea level ending at 4 meters above sea level. The descending actually starts after Bjorli, about 60km from Dombås. To descend the steep hills between Bjorli and Åndalsnes there is a horseshoe curve at Verma, close to the famous Kylling bridge.

Today I’ve been preparing the route blueprint, terrain data and route markers. It’s been a while since last time so it took me some time to figure it out. Anyway here’s some screenshots from todays work.

The route will be freeware and I will try to avoid to include payware content as much as posible. I will try to only include content that can be packed into one file in the end,  mostly becouse I hate to download required content when installing a route for Train Simulator! You can follow the development of this route on the forums at
